Turning Twenty Quilt Update: My rows are begging to be sewn together into a top My color photos turned out all blurry. Here is my "value checking shot." Sometimes it is hard to tell if your colors are balanced when looking at a quilt in person/in color. Taking a black and white photo helps me figure out if my placement is too clumpy. Even though I checked and rechecked, I see one block is turned the wrong way. I wonder if I should rip it out...I probably won't!

For the love of HEXAGONS! Not sure what to make with these little cuties but I have been hand sewing these like crazy. Its an addiction. This is a picture of every hexagon I have made to date. :) I ran out of paper pieces otherwise I'd have more already!

Also, I am learning applique. I love learning a new technique...here is a progress picture for you! I plan to have a whole post dedicated to this awesome little turtle or Honu as the Hawaiians call them. All the fabric you see here I picked up at a fabric sale held in the Fitchburg Library, what a score!

This months Stack Stash Club arrived from Pink Castile Fabrics. I think this months (violet) stack
is my favorite! Love the leaf print the most.

What should I make with my Lizzy House charms?!
What are you working on?

You know, with the pinkish one not next to the darker purples it seems to fit in better...
ReplyDeleteAlso, you sound like me talking about ripping out and turning a block! I have to say I wouldn't be able to find it without staring at the pattern for a while... You can remind me of that next time I want to fix one of my projects... :)
