Show and Tell Tuesday

Hey Guys and Gals!
I have been sewing a lot over here!  I feel so inspired now that I have my very own sewing room in our new house!

Finish number one....Circle of Geese Pillow.  Pattern by Pieced by Number.  This is my sample for the  Intro to Paper Piecing class I am teaching at the Electric Needle Friday, November 22.  More on that HERE.   I hope to see you there!

Finish two: I finally finished my Plan C Quilt!  Pattern by Miss Schnibbles.  This is made with two Moda Ruby charm packs and is finished at 32" square.  Check out the Progress Shots.

Now for my new works in progress!  A sampler quilt and a tote bag.  (Yes, I still have to bind my Turning Twenty Quilt....shhhh!)

My bff Krissy and I are at taking a beginning quilting class at Mill House Quilts in Waunakee, WI.  We are supposed to be making a 4 block sampler quilt however we both decided we should really triple the size and just not make the pattern laid out in class at all.  YIKES!  This is my first block!

12" Churn Dash Bloc, Joel Dewberry Aviary 2 Lattice
The picture above was my very lame attempt at cropping out the background.  This is not a wonky block, its a wonky photo!  :)  I'll try better next time.

Last evening (instead of working my sampler like a good girl) I decided I had to have a new tote for work immediately!  I was inspired by THIS bag by Fresh Lemon Quilts and THIS bag by LindaKL.  I am using the Jane Market Bag pattern.  So as to not interfere with the patchwork I will be putting the pockets in the interior as well as interfacing the handles.  I hate floppy handles.

Quilt As You Go Block 18" x 22"
I worked on this block for 4.5 hours and used two entire bobbins!  (This is half of the bags exterior.)  I think the second  block will go faster since I now know how to QAYG,  I have a color scheme and a better idea how to lay out the fabrics.  P.S.  This is wonky and mostly on purpose.  :)

Now time for my most exciting show and tell!  I am the new proud owner of a white, Singer Featherweight!  I found it on Craigslist and we did the meet and greet at the Grumpy Troll in Mount Horeb, WI.  I will share more about this awesome score in a post coming soon!

Linking up to Fresh Squeeze Fabrics Show and Tell Tuesday.

What are you working on these day?  Have you tried the QAYG technique?  Love it?  Hate it?  Any other Featherweight owners out there with some tips and tricks for me?
